A deal will now be negotiated with the manufacturer and our clearing agent.

Prices for the items to be delivered to me in Melbourne will then be made known.

2 new measures will be implemented in this group buy:

1. Those who express an interest and want to join only after the pricing is made known will be charged a 10% premium. This 10% will be used to offset the shipping costs for those already on the EOI list. This will cover the time cost of the manufacturer, forwarding agent and myself to rework the numbers and everyone else who might have to end up paying a different value.

2. Those who EOI on the parts and pull out will be black listed for the next group buy. This will cost you a 5% premium to the next group buy.

Ball park pricing has already been provided before:

Hood < A$850 delivered to you
LED Tail Lamps < A$370 delivered to you
Bodykits ~ A$800 raw undelivered (so if someone shares the front, with you, you will need to negotiate if this s 50-50 or the guy who gets the front pays more?
Spoilers < A$480 delivered to you.

So you must be prepared for these prices.

No change of mind/heart is accepted as an excuse.
Losing money on the footy/horses is not an excuse either.
All accidents/fines will have to be photo-documented.

Onward shipping to other states will be negotiated at cost. Group shipping to one recipient is advised for savings.

To this end, Melbourne buyers will be expected to pay up to 2.5% more for Int'l shipping to offset those in other states since the items are shipped to Melbourne.

Everything you have put forward seems very fair Ofey, but I think that if you pull out of the EOI you should still be required to pay 10% to cover any group short fall or you having to renegotiate a price.

That legally tantamounts to stealing.

100% agree with placing some accountabilities on people.

I am running a group buy for some stuff on the XR5 forums, and people jumping on later make it so much harder, as do people paying late etc.

Makes it difficult, especially when you end up with 48 participants

It's only fair that late comers or members who renege should front some form of compensation
Too many times Ofey has copped the shortfall and that is very unfair
GBs are a service from Ofey to us at no gain and he should never be disadvantaged,he is more than an asset he is one of the mainstays of CCJ and our friend, and should be held in high regard

i will confirm with work that i can take deliveries there, if it is ok'd by the manager then im happy to act as "Brisbane distributer" for the club to save postage $ to individual members, unless someone else has suitable storage facilities

@Ribbends: once I hear back from the manufacturer, I'll work something out. Don't worry. I don't think its fair you get penalised by that. I just need the numbers and pricing from our forwarding agent friend to work it all out. I'll try to make sure it balances out a bit more.

Little less for me being that Sydney is little more then a 3 hr drive to collect... fitting it in the car for the trip back could be a challenge, however.

I'll attempt to equalise everything out Rick. We discussed this at Admin level before that it does seem a little Melbourne centric when group buys go through and the Melbourne mob pick up free and easy.

The price for everyone will be the same getting it to MElbourne, then I will work out a cost for forwarding everything to different states before splitting out the cost.
