NSW - Meet/event calender for 2011/2012 - Discussion thread.

This is the discussion thread and the official NSW proposed mini-meet, meet, cruise and event calender.

Feel free to diss, suggest, improve, discuss, propose on other events we can intergrate into the calendar. This is YOUR club, so you make it what it is and will be!

Also suggestions to actually do stuff on mini-meets, rather than stand around and chat would be MOST WELCOME.
eg. 12/13 Nov, I've suggested a mini-meet but at a free community festival, that's always orsm! So feel free to suggest a mini-meet for a feed, like yum cha or something "different", barefoot lawn bowls day, etc.

12 or 13 Nov 2011 (Sat or Sun) - Mini-meet - East/South/Metro region - Newtown Festival anyone? http://www.newtowncentre.org/festival/

03 or 04 Dec 2011 (Sat or Sun) - Mini-meet - Northern/Central Coast region
10 & 11 Dec 2011 - Event - The "Eastern Creek 8 hour" - Production Car Endurance Race (Tentative)

24 Dec (Sat) - XMAS EVE - Anyone interested in a ClubCJ Christmas event? BBQ, go karting or bowling or something? Depends on what is open on Xmas Eve too!

January 2012:
Early Jan - Mini inter-state/territory meet. Let's visit Uncle Rick (ScraverX) and other ClubCJ.net ACT members in Canberra. The only twisty roads down there are roundabouts.... - depends on EOI level.
26 Jan - Australia Day - Anyone interested in a ClubCJ BBQ - Perhaps a cruise and picnic up on the Hawkesbury/Wisemans Ferry?

February 2012:
mini-meets to recommence.

March 2012:
NSW Yearly ClubCJ mega-meet. SAM-24A set the standard last year and we got a record attendance.

Notes:
We need 2 cruises to cover the lovely summer months in Mid-Oct/Nov/Mid-Dec. Suggestions?
RNP has been done to death. Something different and original if possible.
Kiama has been suggested in the old threads.

I'd love to go on a Canberra cruise.. just depends on work n whatnot.

Yeah that's what I mean. Maybe once for Maccas, but need to change the scene and try other places, like proper sit down eating venues and stuff for mini-meets... anyway.

I'm still happy to organise this, Pete .... but we need firm numbers, and given the $$$ involved, money upfront.

Sounds good Ken, and help would be appreciated. We're flexible with timing, it can be in March or April even. As long as people have have it on their radar and hopefully organised enough to set money aside.
I guess the original post in the other thread might need updating with approx pricing and cost of a group session. Might be worthwhile to other car clubs in as well to help get numbers if we are tracking poorly. We should be able to get 2/3 quota by late Dec.

My mate is doing a meet at Blacktown (Ground Zero Tint Shop), I've asked him if we can have a joint meet between his honda mates and CCJ memebers. This is still to be confirmed as we don't know yet if we can fit everyone at the venue. So if anyone is interested please let me know so I can have a rough idea of how many cars are attending and let my mate know if we can all fit in the venue. It would be great exposure for our club too.

FYI.
Last years meet reached about 40 cars in total mostly honda's though but 3mpty and myself was there and a few other CJ EVO's and earlier model EVO's.
