Idiot reading newspaper while driving.

Postby SXLancerMum » Mon Aug 08, 2011 11:37 am

Yep you read it right.

On Saturday morning I was driving up the Pacific Hwy between Forster and Taree (in the 110 zone) and we overtook this guy with something spread over his steering wheel. I did a double take and realised that it was a bloody newspaper. Yep the idiot was driving along at close to 100 km/hr reading his newspaper.

And they blame accidents on speeding and young people. They should add old geezers reading newspapers to that list methinks.

And if they were in an accident they would blame the other person, and if it was a P plater they would demand the police to come and breathalyse them.
People like this should loose their licence instantly.

I've seen this newspaper reading phenomena in morning stop start peak hour traffic. I'm sure there have been a few rear enders from people glancing down at the letters page (or whatever these idiots are read)....

Well this was on the highway not in city traffic.

On the way home from uni I have seen a couple chicks driving whilst highlighting a text book.... I guess women are better multitaskers...

I don't see the problem here..

Two eyes.. one for the newspaper and one for the road?

And women think men can't multi-task :P

It will be even shorter if you're doing it at 100km/hr and you're the one driving.

There's a guy at work, who drives his falcon XR6 turbo from Dandenong to the city each day with DVDs playing on his in-dash LCD - cause he's tweaked it so it doesn't need to be in Park anymore.
makes me so angry!
