Hey ClubCJ,
First up, I dont own or drive a CJ Lancer :S, however, I am a Mitsubishi owner and have an interest in what the future holds for them, therefore, the current model forum site, I thought was a good place to start ^^
My names Ferdinand and I live in the beautiful south east brisbane.
I have always had a huge interest in cars, not just as an enjoyment to drive, but also the technoloigcal details and engineering systems behind them.
While only just having started my engineering profession, I do eventually want to work for a mainstream automotive manufacturer or aftermarket tuning house.
So I started my automotive jounrey with a 1974 Mercedes Benz 280S as my first car. While not being performance orientated at all (and the S class only coming auto :S), it was always a pleasure to cruise around town in. Being my first car and with my interest in automotive design, I learnt a lot from this technological master piece of its time, featuring power steering, central locking (hydraulic) and factory fitted pneumatic suspension. However the engine was very basic (still carbi), allowing me to learn about the working on an internal combustion engine.
Having the car for ~3 years, it was time to sell and look at something else.
Having a German hertiage, the next car was a bit biased. A classic E30 BMW
Ive had this car for about 2 years now, however modifications made are limited (due to the scarifice of being a uni student). But the rawness and light weight design is always a thrill to drive even now with the new car
Now into the exciting bit, over the 4 year degree, I found a lot of my time was spent searching and researching cars on carsales and forums, trying to figure out what I want in my next car.
I had always had a soft spot for evo's, the technically and overall build quality present in these cars amazed me. While considering S15's FD3s, V35 and Golf R32, I finally made my purchase of a 2006 Evolution IX
Ive only had the car for about 1 month now and everytime I drive it, I learn something new about it. Its truely an amazing cornering machine (and this is still stock ).
Well.... Sorry about the lenghtly introduction, wasnt really sure what I should write, so hopefully this gives an in-site into my petrol-orientated head
