Found something for you all...

So many of you were after one of these and just about everyone could not afford the OEM version (cost blowouts to over 2k, finding smashed Evo/RA with no front damage very rare). Well someone finally put one out for you all in steel.
Have fun with them

You'll find SSV just import or buy stuff from local manufacturers and distributors and put their mark up on it.
Case in point the Evo 8/9 wing I am getting, they want $530 primed.
I am getting it from where they get it for $330-ish primed.
Find what you like from SSV, go search for the source, save some money.

From my experience, Consider the primer as being useless.
My body kit and rear wing all came primed (even though I stated that I wanted them raw) and all it was, was shitty acrylic primer which was soon washed off with thinners and done PROPERLY with 2 pac primer.
If you are spending that much on a new bonet it is best to get it raw, that way the panel/paint shop knows exactly what they are dealing with.
The primer used could be anything.....Who knows???
Where have the bonets been stored????
Primer left unpainted for any long period of time is not a good idea.
If the top coat delaminates after a while due to the primer holding mositure then don't expect a waranty claim from whoever painted the top coat...
Just my 2 cents.

That would be the clincher.
If not their bonnet is even more expensive than the OEM one.

Technically if it does not come from the OEM manufacturer its illegal regardless of the material its in. CF, FG, Steel, Weetbix, Cheese its all illegal... By illegal it means it cant be registered for road use. By all means you can have it just dont drive around with it.
Get pulled over with it and instead of crying like a bitch you got done for just go off and get an engineers certificate for it...
Getting a steel bonnet to pass ADR certification is almost guaranteed though and CF can also pass most times. Also to anyone else a steel bonnet no-one would ever think twice on it too.
At end of the day its just down to how much hassles you want.
