GT Style Wing

Postby crudman » Sun Apr 12, 2009 11:05 pm

Heard a lot of mixed feelings about these type of spoilers on non track cars.
Some say stuff along the lines of 'its very try hard like' etc etc and putting on 'non proper sports car' (eg: like a say a mitsu mirage) is even worse.
Some prefer the large Evo style...
Some prefer no spoilers...

If price wasn't an issue would you get one?

Personally I don't see all that many on the road... maybe about <10 in my life but I don't go to cruises or live near where most people would probably have one. I honestly think they look sweet.

If I do get one it probably wouldn't be any time soon

imo they look fantastic.

BUT I firmly believe the rest of the car has to go with it. CF Front lip, Winglets, vinyls, the whole cabooza.

lol i've seen tjoz wing in real life... drove past me on ballarat road in braybrook. his angel eyes look sick but i dont really think the huge wing suits.

My opinion is that if you wanna make ur car LOOK like it goes fast... it has to actually GO.

found his photos as above

still looks quite naked

personally I would change rims/bodykit before getting the wing although I can picture it looking pretty good when complete (although I'm not a fan of the 2 stripes lol)

The Evo X or VRX spoiler for me
As I already have the VRX spoiler I don't see myself changing it
Not a fan of the GT wing
The car has to have the goods for it to be credible, otherwise it's just rice!

Yeah unless the car is pretty much fully race spec... a GT wing is extremely rice in my books.

If u want a 'GT' type wing go for a APR GTC 200 or the like. This being, if u want it at least get one that actually works. Also I agree with the rice, gotta be really careful with these things lol
