scorpion motorsport centre lip feedback??

i want to put one of these centre lips on my white vrx. i just wanted to get some feedback off someone who has dealt with them and what the lip is like, quality, mounting etc.

I bought some eyelids off of them, found them easy to deal with and everything arrived in good condition. No scratches, gouges etc. Got them within 10-14 days of sending the payment through.

not the front lip, but i got my wing from them, easy to deal with, GREAT product.

i know its not really what you asked, but still

The C lips do not fit perfectly, if you want it 100% perfect, there is a bit of work, but can just go on like it is.

Just be aware that it is fibreglass so will not respond well to getting hit like the plastic front bumper does etc.

Not exactly the c-lip but i got my vlip and wing from them and was pretty pleased. Quick delivery good wrapping etc. Fitment for me was not an issue and their vlips are made from PU so they have some flex/give which comes in handy with steep driveways.
From the pics and seeing how most of their products are made from the same PU plastic i'd say the center lip would also be PU and not fiberglass. wouldnt hurt to email them directly and check.

We've imported this C-Lip before. It's definitely not PU. Only the V-Lip is PU.
The C-Lip is made of FRP.
I know because I used to have one on the car.

As have I, Chubb, and VRX Pete.

There are no PU ones to my knowledge.

If Ofey hasn't seen one, chances are it doesn't exist

i didn't realize there were two styles of lips, the vlip looks much better and is also double the price! haha. at least it is PU i guess. i think it would be worth paying the extra to get the PU lip then having FG. i suspect the fibreglass wont last as long.

Not that I've seen.

Sorry this is a quick how to on the c-lip....

For a start, line up the lip to where it will sit. Do not force it in. You will more than likely notice it doesn't sit perfectly or the rounded curves are not moulded perfectly and rubs against the bumper.
I can't recall if it had pre-attached double sideed tape. Remove it if it does, because you'll be doing some sanding.
Get some coarse 300 grit wet/dry sand paper and sand down the rounded curves to allow the lip to sit comfortably into your bumper's recessed lip. You might want to sand just a little bit more, because the lip might sit a couple of millimeter higher once you attach your own doublesided tape.
It's all a bit of trial and error really. Sand some, test fit, not the areas that are not quite right, sand a bit more. etc.
When sanding, make sure you don't inhale the "dust" it's fibreglass reinforced plastic, it tastes horrible and can't be good for your lungs. Get one of those masks!
Once you've done the bulk of your sanding and happy with the fitment, get some fine 800 grit wet/dry and fine out the areas you sanded, smoothing these areas out, will allow your double sided automotive adhesive tape to actually attach properly to the lip.
Once you've done all the sanding, wash it so there is not dust left as the double sided tape will not attach. Let it dry. Also clean the bumper of any sanding dust and road grime before the adhesive.
Get yourself a texta/permanent marker. again place the lip in place and you will notice there are two screw holes in the lip. make sure you place the lip properly in postion and use a marker pen to mark on the air dams where the holes are supposed to be.
Remove teh lip and using the marks as a guide, use self tapping screws to partially enter the air dam. Remove the screws.

Now attach the lip, using automotive grade double sided tape (you can get from bunnings). Insert the screws and if you're happy with the position, of the lip and screws, screw away! Not too hard as the holes in the lip tend to crack if you go too hard. No biggie tho.

It's probably not the best "how to" but the best I can do at this time of the morning.

Anyway, any q's ask.
