Hi Everyone.
I purchased a set of led tail lights seen in the picture below.
led.jpg:
My problem is; after i got my led tail lights installed today (looks awesome tho i'll but some pics asap..) i got an error message "ASTC OFF! SERVICE REQUIRED".. When i stop the engine and turn it back on again, the warning ends and astc button works as always. After a couple of miles the warning turns back on again. Then i called my service and asked them if they have any information about this issue, i've been told it's because of the led tail lights, somehow it blurs the ecu's mind. They said another owner had this issue, gone to the service, they installed the oem one's back and the issue gone.
Long story short; I understand that i should add resistors to the brake lights. (Only the brake lights on the side?)
I read the article Ofey wrote and i'm confused about one thing: Will the resistors mentioned (180ohm5w or 100ohm10w) solve my problem with the leds seen in the picture?
Thank you very much appriciated!

Yes it will... .
The LED tail lights have very little current draw, making the car think your bulbs have blown, so either put a resistor or a bulb there and all will be well again... .
Doesn't matter which type of LED Tail lamp. They all seem to have had this problem.
The new batches coming out of Taiwan and China have now compensated for this. So I suspect yours is a VERY old model/release... .

Hi Mate.
I catched you online
I would love to clear this out with your knowledge if you mind.
I see the leds of yours and mine are different (different number of leds and draw for sure). Are you confident about the thing that 180ohm5w or 110ohm10w resistors will solve my "known" issue.? Or can you suggest any alternative about this resistor thing? (Find the resistor in biggest values i don't know maybe 250ohm25w?? does that make any difference?) Maybe i can not find the ones you mention.. I couldn't find the oppurtunity to research yet cos i'm working all day long.
Really appriciated!

bump!
I got my resistors today and installed it myself as explained.. Issue is gone, no more asc off error anymore..
All the help appriciated, specially thanks to ofey.
