Driving around without a rear bumper? Is it legal?

Hey Guys,

Some bastard scraped my rear bumper while I was parked at the shopping centre. The whole right side will need a respray. It seemed to be a reasonable hit as the clips came off the bumper bar. Once I put the clips back in it wasn't as bad as it first looked with half the bumper off.

The panel beater has told me the job will take 2-3 days. Can I just tell them to take my rear bumper so I dont have to leave my car there?

You could just leave the Rear Bumper at the Panel Beaters and take your car home with you............."BUT"..........."How the Hell" do you expect him to color match the paint color to the rest of your car .......

If it doesn't match perfectly ..... you will most probably get really mad.... & complain ...... surely you wouldn't blame the Spray Painter who had to work without the rest of your car to match the color against.........
