"Diamond Magic" glass polish - where can I get som

Postby Flying Ace » Sun Jun 05, 2011 3:35 pm

I have very bad water droplet marks all over my windows thanks to the previous owner who washed the car in bore water. I took it to a tinting place who recommended a product called "Diamond Magic".

He tried a small amount on one of my windows with a rag and it has come up looking brand new. However he wanted $300 to polish all my windows.

I have been trying in vain to find this product here in Australia, but I know you must be able to buy it because he had a big bottle of the stuff.

Can anyone help me out? My horrible windows are driving me crazy!

Thanks!

Try using some white vinegar on the droplet marks. Let me know what happens... .

ofey: White vinegar didn't do anything, thanks for the suggestion.

The patch on the right is where the tinting guy used Diamond Magic.

aspir3: Thanks for the link. I have seen it, but I can't find any info on where to purchase in Australia.

strange.

Do you have a melamine sponge?

You can find it in the cleaning section of most supermarkets. Brand name is something like Xtreme Sponge or Mr Clean Magic Eraser

You can read about it here.

Sent them an email a week ago and no response :(

I went to AutoBarn this morning and they suggested CLR and steel wool. Just tried it and it didn't work.

I asked them about Diamond Magic and they said it dropped off their system back in 2007.

Looks like getting the tinting place to do it might be the only way :(

I hope u find something as I too have a similar scenario caused by the 'spotfree rinse' chemical they use at the self wash car wash places....
I have water streaks all over the screen that is now worse since installing the Bosch wipers as they are so good at what they do.

I investigated and found suggestions of using vinegar with newsprint but haven't at the chance to try it yet....
Keep us posted with your progress

Any Autoglym product recommendations from anyone?

The AutoGlym stuff didn't do anything. Not abrasive enough I think.
