hey guys, will keep it short n sweet for now lol,

i killed my motor haha... so time for the stroker to go in... dont know how or but what i thought to be a fudged spark plug turned out to be this.

Does not look like much. but also scored the block, that little bit of valve did its work on the block, going to check turbo soon to see if made its way through there lol

That does not look good. So a faulty spark plug caused that.

It seems you are going to make the most of it though.

haha, nah i only thought it was s park plug.... but when i changed it nothing changed... then did comp test... 0 compression.... then was like FARK

Go the Cosworth kit. It even has proper conrods :twisted: You will probably need to go a sleeved block as well

what condition was the spark plug and what cylinder was it? Ive heard of number 4 cylinder sparkplugs striking piston top then causing failure in the states.

Any damage anywhere else or just number 4? Were you still using factory plugs?

Might be worth a talk to mitsubishi if this was a known fault you'd probably have a claim.

IE if a batch of heads had the number four sparkplug thread faced to deep allowing the plug to come in contact with the piston.

Still can't get my head around this no.4 hitting the sparkplug story. Surely if its going to hit it will hit the sparkplug on the 1st revolution the engine ever makes (i.e. at the factory).

Does anyone know the details or what the other circumstances/conditions that they claim causes it?
