Tail Lights

Postby niro86 » Wed May 25, 2011 10:41 pm

First of all, I'am sorry if I posed this topic in the wrong place (admin feel free to move). I have been offered used (wrecking parts) Ralliart/VRX tail lights for $350 without postage from NSW. Just wondering whether this price is reasonable or not?

It is probably on the high side, but there are not as many sets coming up for sale now.

Back when the LED tail lights were new and Ofey brought a quantity in to Aus there were a lot more for sale.

Are you happy to pay that much, and how long are you willing to wait for a set if you do not get these ones??

Agreed it's on the high side because from experience they usually go for around $280-$320 on the forums. As Shane mentioned though, a lot of that could be due to the fact that lots of people were upgrading to LEDs and the price point of $280ish was about enough to cover the cost of the upgrade!

Tell them $350 delivered and see what they say??

Can always negotiate...

Remember though you are buying off a business, so part of that price is tax, plus they have overheads

good point, Have to think about it. As said I'am not in a hurry to get it but I was worried about missing the opportunity to get cheap lights. anyway I'll ask him $350 including postage possible or not.

Keep in mind the wholesale price for these tail lights new from Mitsubishi is about $760 and RRP is $950 to $1200. I sold mine off the EVO only a month ago for $440.

Factory parts are alway going to be more expensive and like the guys said there are fewer available these days.

I have a set of black OEM VRX tail lights just sitting around since I upgraded to LEDs.

I'm in Brisbane too.

If you're going to be spending ~$300 on tail lights you might as well get the LED ones. I bought my LED tail lights for $320 off eBay.
