Hey Speedie, nope no rockford amp, i whent into a car audio place... they basically said it not compatable with any other amp other then the rockford one...?? surely can't be right. Best to replace it back to the stock unit (i have now done) or buy an aftermarket one. i i have an MMCS for sale now... happy with the stock music add more to driving and the sound from the mmcs just wasn't working so thats where im at.
No need to make a line out harness just buy one for a couple of bucks. All these do is they wire into your rear speakers to pick up the bass tones then the other end of the harness has a couple of RCA's that plug into any amp.
Of course the quality is not like an RCA connection from the head unit but it will do the job nicely.

I'd rather the proper EQ you had than simple bass/treble.
The reason you couldn't hear the sub is because if you didn't use a line level converter to rca from speaker level is there isn't enough signal for the amp to amp.
get a line level converter and install it and then tune with the proper eq!
Has anyone installed an aftermarket reversing camera with the MMCS? If so could you please explain how you did it?
Ralliart/Evo parts Versus 20s and BBS rims for sale! see: http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=7346
2. Ques: I want to be able to watch my DVD whilst driving, what can I do?
Disable the GPS Antenna and the VSS.
Disabling one or the other wont work.
I used the Datasytem TV-Kit that is used for JDM EvoX and modified it to fit my car.
(Sorry for the crappy phone video)

The Datasystem TV Kit is for Jap spec cars. The sockets dont fit our AUDM cars.
This is the left over adapter harness.
The Pink wires are the VSS wires, the red is the ACC/Power wire.
I cut the sockets off completely and wired mine into the factory harness.
This is the write up Adam did as I forgot to do it when I originally did mine a couple of weeks ago.
Okay got this in the mail and installed it... it made it easy as i had the resource it kit installed, the one with ipod cable with the touch screen kit defeat.. So basically I used the power and earth from the ipod lead which powered the resource.it kit, then hooked up the vss wires, modded the gps antenna and all works awesome.. heres some pics of the modded plugs and general install pics for you guys.. Sorry about the quality it was off my phone and its not really good at pics.
Kit contents
Japspec Gps antenna plugs before mod
Japspec stereo piggy back loom as slash mentioned earlier uneeded just need the earth, power and two pink wires for vss bypass
Gps bypass to goto the mmcs
Gps plug to allow factory mmcs gps antenna to be plugged in..
Gps bypass and mmcs plug joined I just taped around them to make sure
Gps Bypass in MMCS didnt tape this as it was a good fit and should be fine
I used the power from old kit as mentioned above worked a treat for power and earth.
All works great and highly recommend the kit I wish I knew about this before buying the other kit would have saved me 200 bucks, I hid the switch in glovebox and looped up extra wires under mmcs. I forgot to take pics of the module location i placed it uner the mmcs and doubleside taped it.
