I wouldn't mind this either. Especially if it would be a direct replacement.

Blakey wrote:IF you are actualy after brightness i can link you a T10 bulb that is brighter then your stock headlights :p and yes they do fit in side the front parking light holes, (these bulbs are meant to be reverse lights, as T10/T15 is alot of cars reverse bulb size.

If you would like to know more i can put up a link, untill then, these are my secret.

Lol, I'm not sure if I want it that bright. Just something more brighter and whiter than stock, and then if I need something brighter then I'll just use the low beams.

These JayCar T10 White ZD0390 are the best replacement for your front Parking Globes.

I've been running them for over 2 yrs without fail.
@ $1.95 each, who cares.

I will post a link to some very high power Reverse LED's later when I get home from work.

Sadly they only come in the bulb size T10/T15, so they will not fit a sedan they can only fit in the reverse of a Sports Back, as there reverse lights are T15, Unless someone can make or find a T20-T10/T15 adapter then they will fit. unless you crudly fashon them into the housing,

they are not cheap either, even more sadly.

i dont have the link on me here but when i get home ill get it but id proably only suggest buying them if you are happy that you will have to find a way to hold them in the housing. Or if you have a Sports back then you are happy as a pig in mud as they fit.

Blake not a worry, looks like Sam is onto something that might work...

I am looking at getting around 4300k bulbs so hopefully these LEDs aren't too much "bluer" in appearance.

I've tried quite a few different Reverse Globes in the pursuit of Decent Quality & Brightness, at times with moderate gains and other times with absolute disappointment.

To date these Reverse Globes are the best I've ever found and currently have installed in my car.

They are a T20 Base - 7440 / Single Type.
Super Bright 5W White (HID equal) LED.
Made using: Cree Q5 - 4 Chip Led ("Cree" is a High Quality Japanese LED Manufacturer)

These Globes are also available as a 7443 Type Dual Element suitable for Taillight/Brake function.

However, use only the 7440 Single Type for Reverse function.

They are also available in a T10 Wedge Base for those with a SportsBack Lancer.

Yeah, CREE LEDs have amazing output. I have a couple of CREE torches from DealExtreme. One question though, what is the benefit of having bright reverse lights?

On the topic of CREE LEDs. Are there any around for the parking lights? Right now I currently have the 8 chip LEDs like this one for example. What do people think of these?

Thanks Sam! They look awesome in the videos/pics... I'll keep them in mind when I do my lighting overhaul.

that is a pretty good find there sam, as i was saying before or at least thinking,(learn to read my mind) they are out there but they are expensive, its like actually getting a decent, LED house bulb, they are out there but they are hellisly expensive, and hard to find.

these proper HID ones i have found, are resonably cheap for what light output they are, 1400ish Lm @ 15W.

if you think about what the Audi R8 uses, it has a 13W double sided LED bulb made my phillips or Luxeon i think, for a total of 26W and it outputs just under i think it was 2300lm's i can get thoes LED's easyly, but you need a way to cool then and run them properly, which is no easy task, 23W of heat is very very hot
