194 LED parking light bulbs

Postby peternguyen » Sun May 15, 2011 10:02 pm

I'm interested in purchasing some LED bulbs for the parking lights for better visibility. I've found that there are various different types of LED bulbs of the 194 type and I'm not sure what are the advantages and disadvantages. For example, on this page there are a number of different styles that seem to vary according to how much spread there is. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

I have T10 white. They look nice next to my HID's. The old globes were yellow in comparison. I would show you a picture but they come up a slight blue colour in pictures.

Nice. I'll do this along with a new set of headlight lamps.

Do you guys think it would be weird to change the parkers and low beams only and not the high beams? Or should I just do them all?

Yup - Plug and play.... The only catch can be it fitting into the actual hole in the corner of the headlight - E.g. That 6-LED Flat Top design linked from the 1st post may not fit into the slot.....

I have had a 5-LED Radial bulb in there before no problem - Like these >> Linky <<

The T10 194/168 is the size and style of the fitting.... The rest of the choices come down to how powerful you want the LED, the spread and design of the layout of the LED(s), and the colour.....

Any of the 'cool white' colours will be fine, and give A real white light (rather than the standard cream....)

Remember - Anything other than orange or white is ilegal in the front of your car....

I have 6000K hid, my parkers are actually a brighter white than them. as for highbeam, it looked pretty chat when i had the stock bulb cos it was kinda like adding a yellow blob of light on top of a white blob of light. in the end i swapped them for philips blut visions 5000K, much whiter than stock but still look yellow compared to my hid. oh well.....

LED's in general last for a very long time...would most likely last the life of your car

LED bulbs will produce next to no more light then your standard bulbs, next to all in production LED bulbs for cars, produce next to no more light then a standard halogen, there main differance, is colour and percived brightness,

there are a few bulbs out that that do produce more light then your standard halogen, but it makes no markitable differerence,

If you are after just a brighter looking bulb for safety and or just the look of LED's then go with LED, other wise dont bother they make next to no difference.

IF you are actualy after brightness i can link you a T10 bulb that is brighter then your stock headlights :p and yes they do fit in side the front parking light holes, (these bulbs are meant to be reverse lights, as T10/T15 is alot of cars reverse bulb size.

If you would like to know more i can put up a link, untill then, these are my secret.
