i've raced xr6's (BA & BF) and lost both times but not by much - but thats off the line not top speed :P

depends on the driver too but racing in a straight line doesnt require a whole lot of brains lol 'specially an auto

was that the obrien rd cruise i had my bike on? i remember coming around a corner and my rear tyre hit a honkeynut and it lost traction/slipped for a sec, crapped myself because its the first time that had happened! lol

ill repair the bike, it looks mostly cosmetic..

i've prived up some stuff

fairings - $3-400 from ebay or 6-700 from sites or over $1200 from yamaha
indicators - $50
bar ends - $30ish
new lever - $50ish
left rearset with brake cylinder - ?? the ones i have are discontinued so ill need to buy a new pair so probably $400ish then 1-200 for brake cyl

thats sort of all, the exhaust is scratched but ill leave it as it is.. theres also a weird ticking sound coming from the bottom of the engine/inside the exhaust which isn't good :(

The XR6 has more torque which makes it faster - only on the longest straight would the lancer win...due to the top speed being limited on the ford
I have a 3 year old son who KNOWS i should drive faster! So why do i get fined?!?

I never said the lancer would win! Lol.

And I estimate the distance between the top speeds is about 10-15kmph, so yes you'd need a long road :P

Hey guys did the movie cruise happen? How was the monthly Sunday one? No one has mentioned anything about it! Except for Jake's windscreen :P I missed it because I slept in through my alarm clock :(

EDIT: I need more tag cards! Who has any they can spare?

The cruise was good, we did the tunnel then o'brien then made our way to zigzags and after that I think most people went home, though there was talk of going back through the tunnel? :P
There was 5 cars, 6 people (Dan's gf I think?).

I actually got left behind at the top of the zigzags after getting stuck behind 2 motorbikes at the top... I only caught up to David at the Roe highway lights, and went left to go home.

I don't know what happened with the movie night, I was working :(

I'll still come on cruises every now and then probably on the bike when my wrist is healed :)

nothing yet - my wrist is still broken so i can't really get another car, the next one i want to be a manual so i'll have to wait until i can use both arms properly

I'm always on the bike anyway so i dont really need a car yet, just for rainy days and if im going out with mates or stuff like that

Aha, funny story about that, I kinda forgot how to get home and ended up taking a rather scenic drive through parts of Perth I never knew existed and couldn't find again even if I wanted to! I realised my mistake when I was at the lights with the camera and I saw Jake going left, needless to say I never made it back to the tunnel and I took a long time to get home!

Graham, congrats on the sale, I know you've been trying for a while. Make sure you still come for a cruise on your bike or in whatever car you get next. I'm a bit sad that I'll never see that "slow down" warning though, I was hoping it might come back at the next track day :P

I waved right? I think I waved :P
Pretty sure you shouldn't have gone left like me though..?
I caught up to a silver sportback about 3 kms later and it took me 5 minutes of following it to realize it wasn't Dan :(

And congrats Graham, also; you suck.

I dumped the front of my car on a curb exiting a driveway tonight... Sigh...
