EVO X SST slipping and releasing
Hey all
Just thought i would let everyone know... my transmission is SHAGGED haha, basically no more launch control ( gets off the line and around 6400 rpm lets go of the clutches ) and from around 80 in 4th if you punch it when it hits boost the clutches release and it pings rev limiter
I can safely assume that it is my own fault, the car has been Launched ALOT of times and is running a fair bit more power and torque then standard.
SO the only solution to me at the moment is the Titan 4 package from SSP.
i will post some pictures when i drain the sst fluid as to the condition of the fluid. ( i think its going to be black ) and keep it updated with install pics of one Awesome package from SSP
Anyone else had any problems with there SSTs ?
Andrew

Yikes! That blows - can you revert back to standard and try to claim warranty?

With the power your making in your Andrew i doubt very much your clutches will be buggered, there are many more Evo X owners that are making alot more power with no issues.
Ive heard of a number of cases where people have had a similar issue with the clutches slipping and this is caused by the tune and not the actual clutches being stuffed.
So before you go and start pulling the gearbox apart i suggest you look more into the tune because it maybe that.
