hey all! Just signed a 2011 Lancer VRX Auto in White today...
Love that car
Originally we were going to purchase a SX for my partner, and I would share it... she loved the SX over other cars (ie. mazda 3) mostly due to the comfort and CVT
But as soon as I drove the CJ I thought hey... this is nice. But not enough power/gadgets.
So we tested a VRX. Done deal. Got it for $31500 auto in white with a full tank. Not the best deal, but reasonable I think.
Delivery... hopefully next weekend. Depends on the bank/finance.. Can't wait.
Yay
I've owned 2 mitsus before, magnas, good comfortable cars. They should have a much better rep, but the oz public just ain't sophisticated enough I don't think. Too busy with their conformadores and Frauds.. I also own a '00 mazda mx5, still got that, love it. But the CJ will do very well for commuting to work and running around town... plus it just looks so damn good! especially love it in white.
Can't wait til shes in my driveway/garage!!!

Welcome to club Simon.
It sucks waiting for your new car to be delivered but you will find it worth it once you have it.
Try to get along to a Victoria meet. All the members are friendly over there.
if you need any help please use the search function first and if you cant please use this threat to ask.
Can you post some pictures of your new VRX when it arrives and some now of the Mazda MX5. I always like to see what new members current drives looks like.

Thanks guys.
And as for modding... argh! I told myself I would'nt touch my new car... but.. its just so tempting, especially with a good forum/lots of info here. At least I will add wadding to the subby.
My current ride is a 2000 MX-5. Had it for 7 years now, no issues, just so reliable and a very fun drive.
Its usually garaged (well, until my everyday car got written off!) and only brought out sometimes, could never sell it, love it too much.
So as I was saying, my previous everyday car was a '98 Magna, only bought it about 8 months ago. I got rear ended on the freeway (by this really nice lookin bird in a CX-7!) and since they're not worth much it was a writeoff Got more than I expected though.
First car as a '92 Magna. That died after my dad thought he'd save us some cash and did some head work on it. Engine ate itself not much later!
Hopefully I'll get my VRX this weekend, can't wait.
