QLD Treasure Hunt/Rally - **POSTPONED** :(

Special Thanks to Cass for starting this CCJ Treasure Hunt & Rally endeavour and for putting together the initial skeleton of the Course and the Questions Sheet to work from. She has done a fantastic job. It has evolved a little bit since it's initial creation, but I'm sure you will all have a few fun hours on the road.

INFO & HOW IT WILL WORK:

- This will be a scripted cruise that requires Teams to follow a Question Sheet of instructions, to be answered, to provide you with Course directions.
- You should be aware of your surroundings as you travel the Course, as along the way you will need to note down answers to these questions and/or find answers to questions to give you the Course directions you will need to get to your next destination along the way.
- As this event will require notes to be taken on an answer sheet along the way, I would strongly suggest that you wrangle a second person (or more) to come along with you in your car as your Navigator, Clue reader and Photograph taker - So that you can concentrate on the road....
- Teams will leave in a random order at one minute intervals with your start time noted on your Question Sheet.
- At your final destination, the time will also be logged to provide a total Course Completion time.

** All road rules and posted speed limts should be obeyed at all times **

POINTS & BONUS POINTS:

- The Question Sheet will provide you with not only your Course directions but with a total score for the day.
- This score can then be supplemented by correctly answering Bonus Questions:
>> These Bonus Questions might require you to stop and look for an answer at a location or divert and check a poster, or a notice board or an information booth to collect a specific required piece of information to answer the question. If you think you can Google it on the fly - Go right ahead....
- In addition to the Question Sheet and the Bonus Questions, there will also be some listed Bonus Collection items for you to gather and Bonus Photographs that can be taken
- Each Bonus item or photo will have a different Bonus point value to collect. Collect them all if you can for maximum points. The Bonus points will be added to your Question Sheet tally at the end.

Exact points layout and the Course Question Sheet is being finalised now, so I will post up the points structure once it's completed.

WINNER, PRIZE & END POINT DESTINATION:

- The winner will be the Team with a correctly completed Question Sheet, with thier Bonus Questions, Collection Items and Photograph Bonus points added to find an overall winner.
*Bonus questions, collection items and photographs will be varified and added at the end to provide each Team with an overall total score.
** In the event of a tie in overall points, the Team with the fastest total completion time from start to finish will be deemed the winner. >> Pls Note the speed limit obeying rule - drive sensibly please

The Winning Team will collect 2x Movie Tickets

- You should all 'hopefully' end up at a park location where we will have a CCJ BBQ and meeting point arranged for your arrival to discuss the morning's activities and compare notes and stories.
** Immediate family will be included in your Premium ticket for attendance, but non-premium eating contributions will be $5.00. If u are not currently a premium member, u can pay the fee of $40.00 on the day.
**For catering purposes, please note on your post how many will be eating - Thx

- The aim is to have some fun in a different way on a CCJ cruise, but to still enjoy the company of your friends and Club CJ crew, to help with answers and solutions along the way.
- Joining up with other Teams along the way would be encouraged - especially if you are directional poor (>> looks at Kimmy)

The XR5 Owners Club have also been passed an invitation to attend this event, so all CCJ'ers are encouranged to attend. I'd hope to see a good number of cars to take it to the Fords.....

still in beijing (most of my trip as my parents live here = free accomodation)
today is my last full day of activities - the zoo with famous pandas
yesterday the great wall, underground tombs and stage show "legend of kung fu"having an absolute blast

I am moving house shortly (not sure of exact dates yet, but will be moving one weekend before the 29 May), but lock in a date and I will work around it.
At this stage it looks as though I will be moving back to the northside for a little while.

I did one of these rallies years ago that a Gold Coast radio station put together. Even tho it was a car full of hungover sore heads we had an absolute blast! Looking forward to this one!!!
