I asked a friend who does a lot of professional detailing about the clay bars when I got my Lancer. He reckoned he wouldn't do it on a brand new car anyway and for me not to for a while. He also said to practice on an old car before I wanted to play with the Lancer. I shall try it on the 121 before I even think about putting anything other than Meguires Soft Pink Gel and some sort of waxy substance that is yet to be purchased near my car.

The guy in the spare parts at the dealers reckons that he uses some stuff on his old show cars that would be perfect for the lancer that they sell there. He's getting me some and giving it to me when they put on some stone guard things that they ordered for free after finding stone chips at my service last week.
