CF wrap bonnet 2 cover & prevent rock chip, what do u th
As some of you might know I got rock chip on my bonnet from the NSW meet. I hated it on a brand new black car, those little white spots it's so obvious.
I am thinking of getting a CF wrap to wrap the whole bonnet to prevent more chip and cover up the old ones. what do you guys think?
also anyone know the exact size of the bonnet?

An alternative is a special clear film which is almost invisible. I have it on the front of my bonnet and headlights and it works great.
I wish I had of done my bumper too now
When i got some vinyl applied at the bottom of my front bumper at signarama,it has that clear film that shane has stated, supposed to stop the stone chips. And it is pretty much invisible.

I should look into that, thanks,
anyone know what size I should get to cover the bonnet?
When I get home today I will give you the sizes needed.
You can purchase the size you need from myself.
I wrapped my bonnet and the top of the bumper bar for the very same reason you have in mind.
It has been on for about 6months now and no signs at all from stone chip damage or scratches. However, the surounding paint work has received extra unwelcome stone chips since the vinyl went on so it must be doing something right!

I only have this car for 3 months, but i guess u r right, maybe i should wait for a few more stone chips then wouldn't give a damn from then on, like all my old cars, you try your best to look after it for the first few months.
i went to see the guy at signarama here in helensvale, goldcoast and he mentioned there might be a heat issue both from underneath the bonnet and from on top due to sunlight obviously. He said he cant guarantee how long it will last and due to the heat it can come up in little faded with patches. So i asked him if it was removable after a couple of years if i noticed the patches and he said they are a lot of trouble to take off.
basically i got the impression that it would be a permanent change to my car and i dont know how long it will last. so it threw me completely off the idea of cf vinyl on my bonnet.
