What ever it is I do not like the look of it.

I think Fiz could be on the money for part of an alarm system.

There would be no way vents from your air cond system could be directed up to there.

Surely no alarm system nor BT speaker system needs to be placed so intrusively in front of your map lights.

No one here complains about their BT speaker not being able to be heard. And Alarms surely can be mounted elsewhere. Imagine it going off to attract your attention (i.e. within the car) rather than outside the car? Makes little sense.

I'm sorry but I'd actually be very unhappy about that being placed in my car.

Ofey I actually think they are for the alarm.

It looks like there are 3 motion sensors there.

I think it maybe made like that so they only need to mount them in one spot rather then 3 around the car.

I'd also say it's a bit strange to have motion sensors in your car.

No known car alarm system on the market has such a setup.
Why would you put a trigger within the car?

Triggers usually are from the unlocking mechanism or glass shatter detectors not in-car. By the time the jacker got into your car, often the situation is lost.

Speakers are still the best guess. THough why there'd be one forward facing one is abit of a mystery.

I drove in Peanuts car on Sunday and he has sensors in his car for his alarm. I noticed 2 coming out of the A pillars. I asked him what they were for. I am not sure if he has any more.

I have the same thing in my Evo - Its an alarm. It triggers if the thief manages to by-pass the exterior alarm and detects if someone is in the vehicle.

Perhaps the front alarm is a motion sensor if someone forces open the bonnet? If so I'd guess it'd point at the bonnet and not detect anything in front of the car.

A stupid setup though. Why don't they just make the system better rather than mount that huge plastic blob on your roof...
