Applying the club cj stickers to the window.

Postby Gleno » Tue Jan 25, 2011 1:03 pm

Is there a link here to show the best way to apply the stickers,my sticker arrived in the mail today and unfortunatly is in the garbage bin already,because when i applied it to the window,as i took the backing sticker off it it didnt go on properly,and ripped etc.. unless i did it the wrong way.

i think i need a slap in the bloody head :oops:

Don't worry I'll give you clip across the head when I see you tmrw, and sticker for the pleasure of doing so. :P

Here are some instructions I emailed another member;

I'll try and explain it.
One edge is sealed (the right hand side).
The left hand side is where you need to peel the thicker blueish tinged packing paper away from the thinner white (top layer - looks like masking tape).
What you should have is ClubCJ.net still stuck to the top thinner backing paper.
Decide on a position where you want to stick, as you are looking at it, place it on a clean window, rub firmly over the outlines of the ClubCJ.net decal so the decal sticks to the window. Once the adhesive sticker, actually sticks to the window. Slowly and gently peel away the thinner backing paper on the front of the logo.

You should then have your sticker attached to the car.

I hope that's clear enough. Just ask if you not clear on something. Oh and please clean the window first.

That sounds pretty easy from the way you have explained it. I think what i did wrong was i didnt press firmly enough on the window,so when i went to peel the thinner backing paper, some parts of the logo were stuck to it and not sticking on the window :)

If it sticks like that Glen just press it back on and apply firm pressure over the stuck area and gently peel the backing paper
A little tip:
Start at the leading edge (Closest to the front of the car) and as you peel the backing paper place your hand flat on the paper and roll the backing paper along the remaining sticker backing,front to rear so that you are pressing the sticker down as you apply pressure and slide you hand towards the rear of the car - (Make sense?)
If you have trouble - I live in Mortdale I can help you out
Cheers Chris.
