Just got my pack last week, and the next day found out that my car is being recalled. From one hand they give and the other they take

I never got a pack or anything!!! :( I know I got the car at the end of 2007 but people at MCA were talking about it then & they got something. All I got was a keyring from the dealer  I already had 3 of those. I was thinking it may have been to do the dealer but Bandit got something & I'm guessing he went to the same place as me. Did you all fill out some satisfaction form?

I bought my car in December, got it at the end of March. So approximately a three month turn around time.

Hi crankyfatcow - yeah we would have gone to the same place. The 'welcome pack' comes direct from MMA, not the dealer (I got the dealer's key ring too). If I recall corrently, about a week after I got the car, someone from Adelaide rang me on my mobile to see if I was happy with it and to confirm my postal address for a 'gift' they were sending. I was excited at the time but then after a month or so, forgot about it and only tweaked when I went into the post office to pick up a parcel and saw it was bright red.

I got a discount voucher book pack with my car and a few other things (basic first aid kit...when i say basic I mean really basic - few band aids, a bandage).

Got the call a week or so ago from Adelaide someone asking me about the car and whether they could send me promo material in future and to confirm my address for the welcome pack.

Its not really a 'welcome pack' in the sense that you would get that when you join/buy. Its more of a touch base contact point 1-6months (perhaps more) down the line to strengthen their relationship with its customers. So if you haven't got one yet then don't fret its probably in the 'to be mailed pile'

I got the photo frame/mini entertainment book/pretty nice keyring/pin/cloth version 6month after purchase.

If you don't get one within a year they probably forgot about you :(

I received the welcome pack a few weeks ago
approx 6 months after purchase
Contained all of the above mentioned by crudman
A nice gesture I thought
