Why would you be concerned if you have no money involved?
Fanning flames when the matter has nothing to do with you.

Sure it takes a long time in the mail. It's X'mas + New Year. And the lot of custom painted parts.

My gripe with you is that you had NOTHING to do with an attack on me. There were a few concerned people who were already financially involved. I responded to them trying to placate their fears and you basically came along and fanned more doubt by adding your concerns. Concerns from a completely un-involved individual. You've completely missed the point. It's not an attack on me that I'm bugged about. I'm bugged by the fact that as an uninvolved individual, you added more fear to the community that we may have gotten dupped. So I had to begin offering refunds. So what if we were dupped, would you have helped in any way financially? Or is your way of helping simply adding a worthless thought here or there just to band together with what you thought was a cheat?

Don't try and play your self-riteous bull shit with me. It'll get you nowhere. I'm more disgusted with you than those who started the whole fear factor thing because some of the people on the group buy have NEVER met me in real life. You've met me. You've spoken to me. I've helped you with things and this is how you repay friendship? By fanning flames more rather than voicing some sense of calm?

Go through my records in group buys. Nothing has ever gone wrong when I'm running it. Count the amount of money that's passed through my hands. A$40K has gone through me. NOT one problem.

Perhaps when you go see Adrian Tripp to install your folding mirrors, ask him what happened when he ran his Whiteline swaybar group buy. It's precisely why people have this sense of fear all the time with money. I've tried to reinstill some form of trust within the community and you didn't help. You're a disgrace... .

Ofey I will make payment to you asap. How did you want to do postage? Im now working pretty much 7 days so meeting at a cruise is almost impossible at current.

For anyone who missed the GB my stuff will be heading to fleabay in the coming weeks since I have no need for it. Luffy4688 has bought the illuminated front (white) logo. That leaves a rear (red) logo and a blue sidemount plate holder for grabs

Cheers

So yes quality makes it difficult to judge.

Here are some pictures of the License plate mount, the DRL and the central lip in Matte Black (i.e. raw):

I don't want to diss anyone's purchases but here are some observations:

...

3. Front Lip is the most disappointing to me. It does strike me as being slightly flimsy. The material is very thin (< 1.5mm thin) and I'm not so sure it will last more than one serious scrape. Secured by 4 screws it will hold no problem but it would not feel safe. Due to its flimsy nature and measurements, I'm not sure how I'm going to post isolated pieces out. I suspect the best way is to use a postal tube but will add to the cost significantly.

Ofey, not trying to be a pain but I hope that is a typo :? Less than 1.5mm is like the thickness of a credit card!

I'm going to assume that was meant to be 'cm' not 'mm', if so, then it is pretty similar to the A4 air splitter (one parked outside my work so I keep seeing it) and should be ok, granted as you said it may not withstand a bad scrape... :( at least it is relatively cheap :)

Nick they look great, and love the sharkfin! :D (I got one too :P)

Let me assure you that a credit card is not 1.5mm thick. Even after my wife has had it for a few years

1.5 mm is a little thin but it causes a lot of issues to produce it thicker.

If it is flimsy then it just needed to be made with extra ribs.

I suspect the part was made for looks and not practicability.

Fair enough, it just looked a bit thicker in the pictures I saw (tbh I thought they would be a bit thick going off the pictures!), but I have no idea how they look 'in the flesh' so I will just wait and see :)

I hope your wife doesn't read your posts troy! :P

I didn't make a typo. I measured it to be just over a mm thick. I'm not talking about the crossectional thickness of the entire structure. I'm refering to the material thickness.

The picture is misleading:

The material to the naked eye is some kind of FRP. Come down an incline fast and its the end for this lip... .

oh dear - my centre lip scrapes on my driveway now, so I guess this Russian one won't last long when I install it.... :( - and then I guess there would be 4 drill holes visible once it's torn up :(.....
