yeah forget about the boat. QPS have broken 2 props and an outboard engine in the last couple of days hitting submerged cars, fences etc. once this rain clears we have to worry about the mother of all cyclones off the coast that's due to hit us on or around australia day. if i never see another sandbag again i will be the happiest person alive

So how we going guys hope noone was severly affted by the floods was wondering wat our chances would be for the mini meet now that we have had a couple of dry days and the waters a dropping right off?

imo bobby the chances are nil atm

, but having said that, if the members want to move to higher ground i will help co-ordinate it.

still a large number of road closures not to mention alot of roads are covered in silt and mud from flooding. QPS and SES are asking people to stay off the roads unless they absolutely have to be out so it would seem a little irresponsible if the club decided to ignore this request and put 20 + cars running around brisbane that really dont have to be there. besides there is always the following weekend

Thats true Nic,couldnt agree more,i guess we could have a cruise around the gold coast,however once again it would depend on whether the brisbane guys could get down here. Most roads down here seem to be ok other than some pot holes here and there from recent rains.
I wouldnt mind doing a byron bay cruise or even down to ballina for the day,but for me would be too late as i will be heading home on sunday week

,and the members would need more time to plan it

i think the idea of the club donating the money from a bbq to the premiers flood relief is a brilliant idea Dan.
