Moderators: Moderators, Senior Moderators
My thoughts and concerns are with all those up there in affected areas. I'm glad that no one here has turned up as a confirmed causualty of these horrible floods. I also hope that everyone continues to stay safe! Keep in contact up there guys! Let us know your still ok!!
I for one will be donating to the flood appeals for sure as this is a disaster of epic proportions and affected families will need all the help they can get!

Hey
How is everyone going? Hope all is well with members, their families and friends. Last night was incredibly interesting. It was the most hardest shift ever emotionally ( had regular a lot customer that I know personally with just the shirts on there backs who had lost everything.) ,physically (It was crazy we were the only shop in booval opened so people were getting supplies and fuel) and mentally (I have only had about 3 hours sleep in the past 48hours). Its been gut wrenching. Thank gosh for Red Bull I say lol. I have been told that I may be required to come in again tonight as we only have 3 staff to run a 24 hour store.
My house is all ok and we are very lucky to still have power. Alot of people who haven't been affected by the floods but are close have had there power turned off and maybe switched back on again (depending on whats happening) Friday.
I'm not sure if any members who are located here or have family here. But if you are or know someone who has been affected my house is opened door as we have spare beds and plenty of food and water.

Thought I add a few photo's borrowed from friends of the area.
Just over from my work about 800m away.
Looking onto Goonda from Ipswich motorway. My Friends store is Completely under. You can just see the caltex sign.
Part of main town.
Industrial Area behind where I live
Part of main town
Industrial area just down from my work.
To give an idea on how much water levels are here. This is a photo taken of Riverlink Ipswich's main shopping center of it nearly finished being built.
And this is a photo of it last night
In these times you gotta do what you can.

So Glad You are Ok Beck ... And Your Story Touches the Heart .... We all wish we could do more for the flood victims but feel pretty helpless being far from them , They were saying on TV The best people can do to help them is Give Money as they had enough food and clothes , So I went up to the Bank and did my Donation : It was a good Feeling Just being able to help that little bit .....
And as Ben said we are a Family Here and with the worry I had with Family having Problems up Nth It was nice to be able to get a bit of worry off my chest and to talk to you guys on here ... Because we do care for one another Here ... So Many Thanks Guys and Girls for Caring ....
