I think NSW maybe the only state to have a annual fee,but i maybe wrong. They have so many differant plates up here in queensland its not funny.
If you have a good accountant,you may be able to claim the annual fee come tax time.

Only under very specific circumstances would it be eligible- far better off claiming deductions elsewhere IMO.
