How would a grey lip spoiler look on a silver lancer??

Postby Gleno » Wed Dec 29, 2010 10:24 am

what do you guys think?? I have the silver lip spoiler which is obviously the same colour as the car. However having OEM rear diffuser which is grey, and i also have grey coloured side protector mouldings,i thought getting a grey coloured lip spoiler would match well.

Just wrap it in vinyl. If you like it you could paint it and if you dont just remove the vinyl.

Got a quote from zupps Mitsubishi at Burleigh. $320 fitted however they would only supply the same colour as the one on my car, Mitsubishi have this thing of not wanting to supply different things for the car

I would tell them where to shove that then, last time I checked it was me who owned the car not Mitsubishi and I guess the same would be for you.

100% agree with you there. They
Wanted the vin number when i
Made enquiries,my rear diffuser is grey, so I thought that the grey lip would add nice touch to it and match the colour of the diffuser. I don't want to vinyl it grey

Glen Have you enquired with a panelbeater weather or not they can spray the lip Spoiler for you ? Maybe They can spray it on the car with Tapering it off or I don't know how hard it is to get off and spray it ?

Just a thought Might work out cheaper for you ?

Hey Doreen yes i have thought about the panel beaters, just thought it would be easier to get Mitsubishi do order a grey one in and just fit it. Wouldn't do any harm getting a quote from a
Panel beater. Chances are they may have to take it off, I
Could still drive around without the lip on while they
Spray it, I'll look into that thanks :)

This is the email i recieved from zupps mitsubishi, its kinda confusing lol

Good afternoon Glen,

Michelle passed on your email about wanting to change spoilers. Just to let you know its a little more complex than just changing the spoilers over. Firstly we can only offer you colour coded spoilers they are no longer making the grey. If you chose to still change the spoiler over we would need to take it to the panel beaters because the bolt holes will be different depending on the spoilers and possibly repainted . I would have to get quotes on panel beaters if you were still interested. However I can give you a straightforward price to just fitting a spoiler inc parts $320. Hope this helps.
