Arvo all,
My front airdams, side skirts and vortex gen are on their way from x factor design atm, and im looking to get them installed at a bodyshop of some sort.
However I have no idea what i should be expecting it to cost, has anyone else had these installed at a shop and got a round abouts cost? I dont particularly feel like gettin ripped off first thing in the new year
Thanks guys and gals

Most panel beaters charge A$85+ per hour of work.
My Mitsubishi dealership Penfolds charges me A$72+ (discounted) per hour. Normally they do A$95+ per hour.
They will tell you the work will take approximately 4hrs to do.
It would take one of us (DIY inclined ones here) just under 2.5hrs to do.
Yes they will look to rip you off.
+ means +10% GST

Thanks guys, yeah not to keen on doin it meself. Havent got a real good place to do it either as the apartment complex isnt really setup for any sort of car friendly DIY.
Also if a shop borks it I got someone to blame besides myself lol
Thanks for the estimates ofey, ill ring around and see what i can get quotes for.

Hmmm, the airdams aren't too bad to install... if you can isntall shelves from IKEA and drill into a plasterboarrd wall I think you should be fine installing them. About 5 screws at the front and about 3 underside each.
The Sideskirts though... not sure.. havne't installed them myself...

For fitment alone, it's merely a per hour cost.
As someone here pointed out. These come pre-painted from X-Factor. You need not paint.
If you want to introduce that into the equation, the cost increases as you will be paying the per hour charge + the cost of paint and mixing it. You'd probably have to leave your car at the workshop across 2 days for them to color match, sand back the parts, prime them, paint and then mount.
Not sensible at all.

Reason they say 4hrs is to allow for the glue/adhesive to dry for the side skirts
And also if ya going to have a crack at doing the side skirts remember to use lots and lot of masking tape to hold the skirt in place. And leave it on for a good 10 hours so best to do it in the arvo and let it cure over night
