alot of people who have purchused the metra dash kit have noticed, in high temps probley 35 and above, that the dash kit itself warps and the fitment where it lines up to the dash itself is terrible

have a look at my car... link to my page is in my sig.... thats teh metra kit.. not the best fit but it does the job well enough for the money.

it says there that i will need to buy the harness to complete the installation....should i buiy it or not????

well since your having all these problems with the stock headunit, i dont think you will need it. but if you want that option in the future, it is there. If you have a good installer like i did, he will not cut the wires. My installer actually taped into the stock harness itself and then ran the wires from there into the new headunit

I used the adapter. My mitsubishi dash piece warped on me (the RA one) where as the VRX rockford fosgate dash piece is still fine after a year in the same conditions.

My metra has a small gap along the top but its less of a gap then the stock one

aok cool...thanks alot mate....its just it freakin pissed me off the dealer....a brand new car and this is what i get.....

yeah dealers can be really shifty when it comes to stuff like this. hope everythign works out good for you though

Yup the Metra one is crap and arc has confirmed the Stinger one is just a metra one rebadged like I suspected all along...

Scosche are supposed to be good though!!

yup i got teh scosche dash kit. the only thing wrong with the scosche is that you have to give it a light sand across the top due to a bit of excess plastic due to the forming process, nothign you cant live with though
