Don't know if this pic has been posted here before but found it browsing around.

There was no info on it on the site where I found it but I think it looks rather sweet.

That was one of two original CJ Lancer concepts. There was that one and the Evo X concept. The sportback concept would be nice as the next model cycle; it has more of the Outlander's nose than a Lancer and gives a more cleaner and less aggressive look that will please the pensioners. In black it would look like Darth Vadars grocery run car.

To make the car have wider appeal. Tone down its looks to bring in buyers from different markets. Soft looking cars sell. Prime example Toyota.

But take the Honda Civic Type-R for example... pretty aggressive styling and it sells.

I prefer a more rounder curvy car, IMO the lower the car and the more the car 'melts' around the wheels the better, flared wheel arches just scream sex

The Type R is the halo model of the Civic range, its not meant to look like the rest of the model family much the same as RA and Evo. It is sold in limited numbers and is not mass produced like the rest of the Civic range. It has strong sales against units shipped as its a low run model.

That in mind, take a look at who buys the Type R and who buys the normal Civic. Same model but pitched to two different demographics.

I'm quite impressed that the CJ Lancer was all based off the Evo X concept. If the Lancer looked dull like the previous gen, I'd probably be driving a Holden Cruze now :P

The CH lancers had a less aggressive look with the bubbley sort of lights.. imo they looked like shit.

yea, if the CJ looked like a granny should b driving it, i would b in a MY02 rex.

the lancers r built as a "rally" car for the person looking for something sexy and aggresive, for the "wider" appeal then look at the Miev, or what ever they have called the electric car

pretty much all im saying is that Mitsi should stay their course, dont do what subaru did and muck up a good thing they have going
