so I looked at an evo yesterday, 49,990 for an 09 GSR ;\

a bit pricey so i might have to look at some RA's or wrx's or maybe an r33 GTR :P

I have no idea what your budget is so not sure if I can help, but I saw something on carsales a couple of days ago that almost made me cry!

Someone in WA (so rare for a decent car!) was selling a Black 2010 RA with around 4000k's on the clock for $32,000. That is newer than my VRX!! I would have bought it in a second if it was around when I was looking for my car... :( Oh and I tried to find it for you and the listing seems to be gone, obviously someone else thought it was a good buy!

Let us know what the budget is so we can spam ideas :P

well, i still owe 18-21k give or take on my car

my options are to either

1.) trade in to a dealer, i'd lose money on the trade in and pay more for the car through the dealer

2.) refinance my loan, sell the car and pay off the loan then get another loan for a new car

i dont know how much i want to spend though.. the less the better! lol upto 30k preferably :P

I don't want another new car though, I was thinking of a used RA but still a tad pricey

rex's are cheaper
gtr's are quicker :P

Well my mate just bought a 2006 WRX from a dealer. I think he paid around the $24K mark for it, but having paid for it a couple of months ago he only picked it up last week because there were so many problems with it. As much as I laughed my ass off, he did basically get a free engine rebuild (dealer warranty).

I will admit that it is a cool car...I will likely be booted from the forum for saying this, but until the EVO X came out I prefered the WRX *behindsofa*

Now is a totally different story, I still like the new WRX STI sedan (not so much the hatch) but it doesn't even compare to the EVO X! :D

yeah evo X all the way :P I like the 07 rex, the others aren't that great looking but the evo x looks better than all of 'em put together ;)

they're so common too that parts shouldn't be too hard or pricey to get ahold of lol

Can road workers fine you? Went the wrong way when trying to navigate detours and some old roadworker guy banged on my window and was going beserk at me saying I was going to kill me, him, and my passenger. Mind you, this was 3am and absolutely no danger anywhere around us. I gave him the finger and kept going but then he said he would book me, so I turned around. Do they have the power to fine people or was he just scaring me?

Also, how much over the speed limit do you have to be to get caught speeding? 5km/h?

Technically, 1km over is enough to fine you - if they can prove it

Normally, you get a 10% variation so a speed camera is USUALLY set to 66kms in a 60 zone - this allows for speedo variaitons...

i say USUALLY though...
I have a 3 year old son who KNOWS i should drive faster! So why do i get fined?!?

road/council workers have jack all power, worst case scenario they will write down your plate and report it to the cops who will do nothing anyway.

I think all they do is take a course in traffic stuff so they can legally direct traffic etc
