Funnily enough the iPhone isn't very good at calling people though. Call quality and antenna strength isn't as good as Nokias or Motorola.

I've always had Nokias ( work & personal ) so am used to their system.

Free GPS is also an added bonus..

Hmm, if you plan on using GPS in Australia and you have a data plan, then the iPhone has a lot of options (but I know that's not on your list). AFAIK the Android phones have something similar but I"ll let them confirm.

If you don't have the data plan or were planning on using it abroad, this is the one area where Nokia has it set because you get the map data included for free and it can be downloaded/saved to your memory (i.e. so you don't need to use data).

never had a problem with my iphone, yet dad is always having problems, he wishes he got the HTC.

Yep - I have Ovi maps loaded on the N95 - built in GPS with free maps.

Works even when I have no cell coverage !
