Read this Post under Modifications / Electrical:

The Tape type that dont require any drilling work on an Electromagnetic principal and can sometimes be not that reliable. Sometimes they do not sense correctly or false sense and are only able to read upto 1metre max range.

The Sensor type that requires drilling into your bumper work on Ultra Sonic detection. Far more reliable and range able.

If you do decide the Tape type, they were originally designed by an Italian Electrical Engineering Co named: Proxel.

They are distributed worldwide by: Parking Dynamics UK

I'm not sure how they did, but the subcontractor to the dealer managed to stuff up and install the wrong plugs. They ended up protruding out because the grips were worn the moment you forced them in. They had to replace it with a new kit altogether.

So you might want to watch out for that if you're installing them yourself. You also need to consider the fact that the plugs may need to be painted beforehand.

Hey Denis,
If your looking for a top set of reverse sensors, then take a look at these Smart Park PDC120PI.
This brand and kit is better than anything else on the Aust market and craps all over the Factory Mitsu kit which is sourced from Lumen Australia based in Hallam, Victoria.
Take a look and read of this link I posted a while ago:

To order:
Phone Zorg Industries directly and speak to Vernon Rubin (National Sales Manager) on (02) 9439 9439.
Zorg are located at:
Unit 4, 31-33 Chaplin Drive, Lane Cove 2066 NSW

Vernon has a distinct White/South African accent, and he is extremely busy, so be polite when talking and you will find him very willing and helpful.

Price: $215 for the Kit PDC120PI & $40 for the Optional Visual Display Uint VDC110.
It may be a little dearer now since this price was early 2010, but still a best value and quality product

Cheers: Sam.
