Haha Ben! Sticking to the speed limit like glue, and giving it the beans coming out of corners etc to get back up speed having the revs up pretty high for the bulk of the very windy trip back up hill on Pac Hwy, With the aircon on the entire time I got 7.9l/100km. Right on the claimed fuel consumption from factory lol. If I were to do that stock it would have easily been 9-10.

Just a note, this is dangerous and uses more fuel then if you leave it in gear and cruise down the hill with your foot off the accelerator.
Check it one day.
Why's it dangerous? Other that needing the lag from changing back into gear to get yourself out of an emergency situation if needed?
I can guess the reason for more fuel consumption is that you're not using the rolling momentum of the vehicle to drive the engine along as opposed to when it's disengaged from the wheels?
