Hi guys,
Just wondering has anyone here done a 90k service for their CJ ES? My pedometer is approaching 90k. I did ask for quote from different service centres, they all give me a different quote ranging from $200-700!!
If any of you from Perth, please tell me where you got it done at a reasonable price. I'd rather not go to my original coz they're just rip off! Appreciate you input! Thanks in advance!

A 90k service should only cost around $200 if nothing is wrong with the car, i.e. nothing needs replacing, other fluids or parts.
actually if you look at the logbook by Mitsubishi, there's quite a few things needed to replace, e/g/ transmission fluid, brake fluid, spark plug etc ..

The only genuine part it is advisable to use is the Diaqueen coolant (or ATF for the CVT). Everything else (brake fluid, oil filter, air filter, transmission oil, engine oil, spark plugs [OEM are Denso or NGK anyway],etc) can be non-OEM and not likely to have issues at all. So $400 for a 30,000km service at a mechanic is very steep, my GF paid that much for Mitsu to do her 45,000km service (brake fluid, coolant, oil, oil filter, air filter, etc).

Yes, first of all, timing chain is used in our cars. Just will be tension checked at 90,000km service.
90,000km is a major service with many parts and about 3-4 hours of labour. Mitsubishi should charge accordingly. My Mitsubishi dealer here in Melbourne charges $105 an hour labour, the dealer I work for charges $92.50 an hour labour.
Oils, coolant, spark plugs, air filter, shop supplies, brake fluid etc. = around $100+
My guess if done correctly, a good indication is about $400-500? That's just basic working out figures. It may be wrong.
