thanks all - in this case I'm going to look into what to do about the holes before I start attacking the spoiler ;)

for those wanting the spoiler post-removal - feel free to make an offer, though it is champagne/gold in colour so you'll likely have to get it resprayed!

Jim, wondering if you have removed the spoiler? If so, do you still have it?

Haven't gotten around to it yet - were you interested in the spoiler or how it goes? :p

Sorry to bump and old thread, but this is the only one I could find in regards to the boot lip removal. Yet, it is still quit inconclusive, so are there screws? What do you do about the holes in that case? Boot swap? Sounds expensive :(

Remove the capet trim you have underneath the actual boot lid. There are 8 plastic poppers.

Yes you will find two nuts under the lip spoiler. Remove those nuts then slowly peel away the lip spoiler from the double sided tape.

You could take it to a panel repair shop to patch the holes
AND
yes it will be costly as you will need to repaint the entire boot.
OR
as you say swap it with someone.

I believe there are 3 screws that hold the lip spoiler on.

You will also need to remove the third brake light. Just unplug the wiring and use a 10mm spanner to remove the 2 nuts. Then the brake light will pull out.

There should be a screw in the center that hold the lip spoiler on.

So does that mean no evo spoiler for me? :( I'm assuming the high rise is the only wing you can het that also fits with the lip?

Hoges wrote:the active, high rise and VRX spoilers will fit on with the lip spoiler in place. I have the VRX wing with my lip, Doreen has the active spoiler with her lip. I recon leave it on, IMO i think it looks pretty good. The only free option is swapping boot lids with an ES of the same colour

Toby I agree with Hoges .... leave the Lip on , Still looks good on with other Spoilers it will save you all the hassle in removing the lip ... I have replied in your other Thread about the Evo x Spoiler ... So hopefully your Dreams are not Crushed :)
