no it isnt a cardboard fuel door i took photos of the alloy fuel door next to the genuine Mitsubishi motors box say it is a genuine mitsubishi product

just need a parallel port now to use it.

Should be able to get a USB to DB25 converter from Ebay. Just watch as not all USB/DB25 converts (with inbuilt controllers are the same).
I had a similar issue with USB to serial, some don't pass extended control codes and stuff.
