Rode the bike to my mates house and back today, it's sorta scary going out on the road for the first time... im worried i'm gonna stall it at a roundabout or a cars gonna cut me off or something but it went pretty well.. bike is playing up a lil but i think inside the carbie is dirty so i'll have to get it cleaned by a pro.

I also thought I'd open her up a little bit (as a carpark is not the place to wrap the throttle around) and without even pushing it too hard (shifted at about 8-9) i hit 110 in second in a few short seconds... didnt even notice until I saw the speedo and thought "f&#^" and slowed down... I didn't know how quickly they pick up speed..

Amazing machine, and will be even better once the carbie is clean and it runs smoother...


anywho, it'll be good to get out on a CCJ cruise, havent seen you guys in ages

Nice Graham, Im gonna have to live my bike dreams vicariously through you (parents and gf have teamed up and wont let me get one ) Its crazy to think that some bikes have engines the same size as my old fiat punto, with what? a third of the weight? less? It must feel like you're flying!

Hey Rahul I'm gonna place an order for those eibachs tomorrow, did you get "Eibach Pro-Kit Springs 2008-2010 Mitsubishi Lancer ES/DE/GTS - P/N: 6048.140" ?? I don't want to end up with the wrong springs! I'm doing my errands on Tuesday and one of them is to go sign up for an exhaust from RPW, I'm dead keen! I need my baby to fly so I can beat my mates 2006 WRX

Considering I was willing to back out in a tie, I don't think so. I was fairly tired of being a mod. And no disrespect to Graham, because he contributed more than his fair share, but I was tired of not having a partner, and everything being on me.
But now suddenly I'm being judged for trying to offer ideas and suggestions. That is what I'm angry at.
My words had no negative feeling behind them, yet no matter what I said I'm getting told 'I don't like your tone' as if a) I'm harming the club b) I haven't constantly been trying to contribute to and better this club and c) I suddenly deserve to be spoken down to.

You haven't even bothered to make a thread or send a state message for this cruise, and even I don't know what time it is any more, and when people ask they're just being told 'sunday', which is useless and misleading because our usual cruises are at 7.30, and you're expecting everyone to magically come, and speaking to me as if I'm the one letting the club down somehow?
And, you're both going to be having exams at the same time, when the whole point of 2 mods was so at least one would always be available. I must've annoyed many people with how I was pushing to have 2 mods, yet now it seems irrelevant and forgotten.

Yes, I am being negative now. Probably because nobody has any interest in sorting this out.
Did I miss something and somehow I'm not welcome now? Did I let the club down as a mod? Because to me, I'm feel like I'm being targeted.

David - A third of the weight? My bike weighs ~120kg (dry)! it's really light which is good

Some of the other bikes like the Suzuki GSXR 1000 weigh 170ish and have even more horsepower like 190... that's more than 1hp per kg! insane stuff when you think about it..


@ everyone lets all calm down it doesn't matter who's a mod and who's not the only real power mods have is being able to edit/delete posts (obviously they have more push/pull with other matters and organising events etc) - the rest is upto us all as a whole so we all need to play nice and get along

sigh... i get enough of this at work... i don't want my hobby invaded by politics and snide remarks... Mod's can't be expected to fix everything overnight (Fix??? fix what???) and past mods did a great job with keeping the forum under control. The Community needs to step up and make it a community... having said that...

I can't make it to the cruise - i have plans...
