Kim aluminium is very easy to paint.

1.First you need to clean them. Sand blasting where you want to paint is best. Tape what you want to remain aluminium.

2.Use the right primer and then when dried use the colour. Your brake paint will be fine.

3.Remove tape and paint with a clear coat to protect.

As discussed because of the high traffic area it will tend to wear. I suggest you only paint the low areas of the pedals, so your feet mainly only touch the aluminium section.

Thanks Troy :)

I might give it a go tomorrow...

Yeah I wasn't sure whether I wanted to do it like the pic above or just paint the parts that are already black on my pedals and leave the rest silver

Actually another idea...
XR6 pedals are aluminium with rubber studs on them. If you found something like that and painted the aluminium it might not wear very quickly as most the friction will be on the studs.

Although, pedals like that might not be comfortable barefoot.

If you bugger up painting the pedals... you can buy new ones
Image
For Auto:
1600A060 - Accelerator pedal = A$48.50
4620A070 - Brake pedal = A$69.00

But pull them off first before attempting to paint. :)

3M Di-NOC carbon fibre in pink.... go nuts on the interior. A-pillar, B-pillar, door controls. :)
