You should ask for whatever accessory you want to come with the car for that price...Otherwise if they wont give you floor mats, full tank of fuel, sil/ step panel, cargo barrier? Just pick out a bunch of things you want and tell them to include it, or just tell them you will go elsewhere. As the accessories can get classed as write offs to them, not worth losing a sale over them not giving you what you want.

Called the dealer the other day to do a better deal on the car, they would only drop the price by $500. Told me that was the best they would do, if i was not interested we could both just walk away! told them I would think about it.

I would personally go elsewhere.... Tell them to forget about it. times are tough, and they are selling cheaper to get sales, if that dealer won't play ball, then leave the ball park and go somewhere that will play ball.

I got the lancer we wanted at a price I was happy to pay, picked it up on my birthday, I had the day of work. Spent the day getting to know the car without the wife or kids . I love that new car smell I have only had the time to take a pick of the car in the garage, will take more later.
