Isotta Gear Knob

Postby jaykan2k » Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:29 am

Hello All,

I recently bought an Isotta gear knob and was wondering if there was an adapter or something available to allow a tight fit on the shifter? I installed using the standard spacer that comes with the knob but it still spins slightly and is starting to annoy me.

bit of a DIY back shed type fix mate but have you tried taping up the the shaft to make it bigger so the grub screws hold better. Or if it treads onto the stock shaft and is loose try some thread locking tape used on water pipes.

As you may have guess yes I am a farm boy :P tape, wire and a damn big hammer fixes everything :D

hahaha, i gave it a shot last night but i gave up in the end lol. That bottle of loctite looked mighty tempting though :P

I'll give the shop another go and see if i can get a replacement adapter for the one that i broke off last night and see if something can be wedged in to tighten it a little bit more.

All sorted, for all you guys looking to get an aftermarket gear knob. Make sure you ask for the MOMO rubber insert rather than the Plastic one.
