Window Tint 35% on front windows 20% rear windows opinions??

i've got 20% on the fronts and 50% over the rear privacy glass - im pretty happy with the result and looks great - much better than having 35% over the rear privacy glass in my old set up

do the same front and back imo, mine were done darker in the back by the dealer, looks like crap.

thats because its factory privacy glass on the rear its not tinted.

im yet to get mine done... one day haha

So what's it worth getting the "privacy glass" look for the rear?
I've got whatever the dealer put on mine when I asked for it.... But I do like the look of darker rear glass.

Just remember 35 is the darkest you can go on front windows. 20 is illegal for fronts because it doesn't let enough light through.

Higher the number the more light comes through.

And remember Factory and dealer are two different things. Privacy glass at T20 is legal from the factory but illegal from the dealer. You are better off getting a T35 tint but shop around and get the tint place to show you samples next to your glass for the closest match.

20/20 vision and I still found that 20% on the front was too way to dark in un-lite areas. Found myself everytime having to drop the window just to be able to see the apex of most bends or even the white line.

My car now has 35% and its perfect! Doesn't match the back but being able to see at night and not kill anyone (including myself) out weighed looking cool in the day for me.

got 15 on the front and i still think the rear is a bit darker.. should of went 10% had 5% on my last car and wasnt too bad.. unless it was at night and pissing down rain

All depends who u get to do it, I was quoted bout $80 - $100 to do the rear, also comes down to how dark u go on the rear, there is no legal limit for the rear side windows. Not too sure on the rear windscreen. I would hope u wouldn't have to look at more than mayb round $150 for rear 3 windows

Thanks for the info though I'm definitely leaning towards getting the 3 rear done - as where I park, there's a lot sun exposure (unless you park under the trees and get shat on) alot of people traffic (and cops now), I'd like to think by putting in the privacy tint, it would keep my belongings in the car out of sight, and also keep the car cooler

Ok, I just checked the qld mod guide, and apparently it's supped to b no more than 35 all round, but hey, rules r meant to b broken. Go 20 on rears, cop would have to b in a really bad mood if he does become fussy bout it, shouldn't tho

i've got 20% on the fronts and a layer of 35% over my privacy. It looks awesome, keeps temps down in summer, and you cant see anything IN the rear windows at night. Looking out isn't to bad. My rear windows read 8% of light that is actually coming thru.
