a suggestion

Postby PYLee » Thu Aug 19, 2010 12:25 pm

hi guys ,

i'd like to give a suggestion , why not implement the system that the photos of the sale item must have a piece of paper stating nickname/real name , date and forum

this way , it can reduce chances of getting scammed , and proves that the seller actually have the product

for example

Cheers

its a good idea, but has anyone been scammed before by buying something off our website?

Because to sell a product you must be a premium member this would stop people from signing up just to scam someone.

IMHO, It does add another layer of protection,

What if the person chooses NOT To disptach?
What if the person can photoshop the picture?

And we do need pictures at the moment on any sales thread except group buys as we don't have the product *yet*.

But the risk still exists which is why we only allow Premium members to sell.

I've purchased from Nathan and the good Dr., i would have confidence in buying again, but i do like the idea of seeing the condition of the product in question. Even if its still attached to the car.
For every "Drive Safely" sign, shouldn't there be a "Resume Normal Driving" sign?

I was going to get you a picture Bryan but you were just too damn quick  :P jk

EDIT: I think the addition of the picture is a good idea but as Ofey said the premium membership is a pretty good policy.

well , if the person have the intention to really scam someone then of course there is no way to prevent it and as simple as preventing it totally, don't buy it off online.

i'm not saying to let a non premium member to sell , we can still retain the old setup but this would further increase the protection against scams.

Mainly, this system is to prevent people taking photos that was posted by another member from the same forum/another forum and post it as their photo to prove condition.
