What exactly do you need to know about it Brendon?

A whole how to might not need to be written for it...

Are you confused on mounting them, wiring them up? etc

More detail the better :)

Also FYI, undercar neons are illegal unless you are parked with the handbrake on.

Got a few different options,

Illegal way -
Hook them directly up to your headlights, ie tap into the fuse in the fuse box or splicing the line and connecting the 12v positive to the positive line on your headlights then connecting the ground to a clean spot on the chassis.

Legal way -
Hook them up via a switch in the cabin running them off the cigarette lighter fuse. Hooking up the switch is fairly easy if you get a 2 way switch. This means that if you want your neons on, your car has to be on ACC

Another way is..
Run a line from your battery with an inline fuse to your cabin. Using a 2 way switch, connect the 12v positive to the switch and connect another 12v line which would then go to your neons. Connecting them this way means that you can turn them on or off anytime you like.

find your ignition wire or a wire that it only on with the ignition, and parallel them into that, then Neutral to body, they will come on when the ignition is on,

if you want them to be legal, just go straight off the + battery, in to the cabin, to a switch, then to the LED's, then the - to the body.

if you want ones that come on with the doors oppening, find the centerlight door + hookinto that, then the - to the body,

ORRR hook to the door + and a switch to override the door + so they come on with the door, and the switch overrides the door, so you can turn them on manually with the doors shut

If you want to come on with the door, it is actually a little different on the CJ.

There is actually a constant 12v to the door lights, and it is switched off the negative. There is a constant negative, and another wire which has about 3v running through it. When the door is open this earths off the canbus and allows the door light to come on.

I would just find a 12v that is only on with the ignition, and put a switch in so you can override. Also, that way, as soon as the keys are out you know they are off.

If you want to get really complex you could wire it into the handbrake as well.

That is, wire it up one of the ways suggested as well as into the handbrake such that the interior switch (or whatever you use) won't activate the neons/leds unless the handbrake is on.
