So on the way to work this morning some moreon decided he was going to try to undertake me as i was turning out of a side street into the far lane.
So depressed considering the car is less than 2 months old and not even 2000km.
Im not sure what's going to happen with it, guy at work said if it's hit where it has the pannel cant be replaced and because it's a new car they could write it off.
It does look like it will be a pain to repair. Heres a pic.

So sorry to hear Jamie
That panel on the rear quarter can be repaired by a decent panelbeater
Mine was hit in the same place only I damaged the whole passenger side!
If they easy beat it out and file finish it then there shouldnt be too much filler needed either
I can recommend a great panel shop if you are interested
Let me know mate as my car came up beautifully
Chris.

Should have added he has no insurance, bald tyres and I don't think the car is registered.
On the phone to the insurance company now, they already have photo's etc.
Going past a friends place who's dad owns a panel beater, going to see what he says about the damage.
Also the alloy is scratched so they'l be fixing that too.

I dont want it written off, but I don't want the car full of bog
The guy on the phone was telling me the car has to be repaired to factory standards because it can void the warranty from Mitsubishi, if they can't repair it 100% the it may be written off.
All parts need to be brand new from Mitsubishi no second hand ex write off parts etc are allowed to be used.
So im as happy as I can be in a situation like this. Very re-assuring that they are only allowed to use new parts, I have an eye for dings scratches etc.
It's my first accident in one of my cars and hopefully the last, shame it had to happen to a car less than 2 month old ralther than my 15 year old BMW or 5 year old Corolla.
