apparently there's also not much point to having a laser jammer now anyway. the cops can detect them and pull you over for having one, regardless of whether you're speeding or not.

then if they do bring in laws banning them it really wouldn't be worth the risk.

the revenue raising reaches new heights :evil:

on kwinana fwy i saw BULK cops on bikes (probably testing the new handhelds) there were about 8 that I saw and were constantly pulling people over one after the other.

speeding is illegal
owning a laser jammer (may become) illegal

Same thing, people will still use them :P

Read in the paper this morning that the new redlight/ speed cameras at intersections wont be in use till July 1

Just to let you guys know:

The new hand held radars take a video of the car - if you are speeding, you will not be pulled over, rather the police keep the video and send you a fine in the mail.

The new red light cameras are only meant to activate 8 seconds before and after a amber light, however do not be surprised if they are constantly running.

the cameras are always running I'm 95% sure, one of my mates received a fine yesterday from the one under leach hwy/albany hwy :(

But I don't want to test that theory! haha
