@ Hoges, I mocked-up a sample of what I wanted on "WORD", then Paint-Shopped the "R" and printed of an A4 sample sheet.

Then I went and saw Danien Xavier at Nippy Signs
Nippy Signs
Unit 1/1 Box Road, Taren Point, NSW 2229
Ph: 9542 8100
Mob: 0414 656 075
Email: nippysigns@bigpond.com

Damien makes the ClubCJ Stickers for our club, so his work and quality is excellent.
He can and will make practically anything you want. Even Logos (my son wanted the Oval Ford Logo)
With my stickers, I basically showed my printed mock-up, told him the Font, Size (length x height) and Colors.

Two days later, done, several of each size, and very happy.

I Highly recommend Damien.

@ Tadz, Thanks Micheal, its all about being original / unique I suppose.

Cheers: Uncle Sam

Blakey
Damien has always made the standard white club logos
Luke makes and markets the custom requirements and subsidises the club
Nippy has been with the club since I joined in 2008 and introduced Damien to the original Club Admin team
Luke is marketing the club wares also and Nippy is providing the standard stock at a reasonable pricing structure to support the club
Ozie organised a structure with Luke when he was Admin
Cheers Chris....

@ Blakey,
As far as I know LukeADay in Victoria also does make custom/stickers stuff for ClubCJ.

I Emailed him a week ago and left several phone messages and I'm still waiting for a response.

Perhaps he's to busy to bother with me, If so, I wish him well and more of the same busy.

But I wanted my stickers, so I seeked out elsewhere.

Cheers: Sam

Nope you cant. We keep the stickers to the premium members for a reason. It stops anyone getting their hands on our name, putting them on their car and hooning around like idiots and giving us a bad name. If you display a ClubCJ you are representing us.

Plus, theres probley a few copyright things with the logo

Ditto on Tadz's comments -
ClubCJ prides itself on being a family oriented, non profit social forum based club that any and all can visit, join and or benefit from.
We share ideas, information and support for any and all who care to visit.
We are about Respecting each other and sharing a common passion for our cars and the life style that comes with it.
We actively discourage "Hoons" and Anti social behaviour and will not tolerate anyone bringing our club into disrepute.
That's why we dont give stickers out to just anyone that wants them.
Regards Chris.

in the end no one can stop you.

the ClubCJ name isn't exactly copywrited or trademarked (that i knowof)

even tho it does have the © at the bottom of the page, i doubt it has actually been done.

especially as it cost alot to copy-write something and it has be renewed every time it runs out.

I've asked this question before. Why would you want to be associated with this club when the club itself doesn't count you as one of its premium members?

Sure you can wear the badge but you're NOT a premium member.
Is the badge that valuable to your being in a CJ?

for one buying a $4 sticker, is alot cheaper then a $40-$50 membership.

Generally you'll be hard pressed to find a sign writer who'll make you one or two stickers for only $4, especially if you want them to create the 'artwork' for you. You really need to be ordering a more bulk sort of amount to get that pricing as vinyl cut stickers have a little bit of work involved to weed out the uneeded vinyl pieces and the put on the application tape. Not to mention the fact that a vinyl printer/cutter setup sets them back around the $20,000-30,000 mark so they need to make some profit to payback the cost of the machine and the ~$500 services they need twice a year.

In saying that it's not hard for anyone to create artwork that there vinyl printers/cutters can use, all you need is an EPS file made from a vector based program (ie. Abode Illustrator) but dont expect to save alot of money going down this road unless the sign writer gives you mates rates...

i doubt a sign writer will use there $20,000 printer/cutter.

small jobs they would use there smaller machines, like there $400 2axis cutter.

getting the design, just give it to then, they can scan it put it up in a image program, get the right file for the cutter, send to cutter, done.

at $4 a sticker, only needs to make 200ish 5min jobs to pay the machine and the amount of vinyl off..
