It's really not advisable to run near-empty as contaminants can enter the fuel system.

I've now topped up with VPower, around 33.5 litres on the first fill and see if there are any impovements with the same driving style.

You can buy them from most newsagents.

People use them for recording car use for business purposes when working out their tax and so on.

The best I've ever had with my 2.4 VRX manual was 6.8L/100km on the open road.
Recently on a long trip I averaged 7.1L/100km.
PIC

On the daily drive it's usually around the 9L/100km mark.

2.0L CVT run on E10
Ive never run more than 9.8L/100km filling up my tank. Average around 9.3L/100km over all my tanks so far.
Only mods - hks super hybrid.

If i ran on 91 ( no one around where i live sells it -_- ) im sure i could try and get under 8 :D

I bought my CJ with about 21,000kms on it and have started logging my consumption recently. I do about 75% urban driving and 15% highway. Ive been getting 8.86, 8.18, 7.38, 8.33 (on avg 8.19)

Sounds pretty decent but bear in mind its a 2.0 litre manual and i havent been using the a/c lately
